Hello, I’m Kevi Keenom, a 2011 master’s program graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and also a graduate of OCOM’s Chinese Medicine doctoral program (DAOM). I’ve interned in two Nanjing hospitals under acupuncture and herbal medicine doctors. One at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011, and another in 2018, at Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. As a board-certified CM herbalist, I also prescribe Chinese herbal formulas, (tailored and patented), that can stand alone as top-tier, powerful medicine. Best of all, you don’t risk the same level of serious side effects as you do with pharmaceuticals. In addition, I use medical massage (Tuina) and other techniques such as electro-stimulation acupuncture, fire-cupping and Guasha for treatment on a variety of people and conditions. Pediatric acupuncture treatments can be done with or without tiny needles, by including techniques like Pediatric Tuina and Shonishin, which are two non-needling options.
My specialties include Pain Management, Women’s Health, and both Geriatric and Pediatrics. Acupuncture is second-to-none at alleviating pain and restoring optimal function, post-injury or post-surgically. Most patients first come to me in the pursuit of pain relief. In Oregon, any motor vehicle accident is covered for acupuncture treatment by no-fault laws which provide coverage via Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance, and without a doctor referral (*check my Blog tab above to read my blog titled How To Survive a Car Accident). Later, most patients come to me for full-service, natural healthcare.
The research-proven benefits of acupuncture include the healing of diseased tissues, stress reduction, inflammation reduction, hormonal and neurologic regulation, improved sleep, improved digestion and improved energy. Autoimmune conditions (Hashimoto’s, IBD, MS, RA, scleroderma, etc) and other syndromes (such as PCOS, fibromyalgia and CFS) respond exceptionally well to Chinese Medicine therapies. Acupuncture and herbs are phenomenal for treating female hormonal health at every phase, from fertile years, to perinatal care and into the pre and post menopausal years. I especially delight in caring for all ages of children, who amazingly, are able to overcome many adversities in health, from immune to behavioral problems, fairly rapidly. On the other side of the life-cycle spectrum, my doctoral studies focus in geriatric health also my boosted fluency in the treatment of complexities of aging patients.
Reach out to my office via phone/ text, or email me at kevi@wildfirefamilyclinic.com with any questions. I am in-network with most insurance companies and offer cash discounts for without acupuncture insurance benefits. I also accept new Motor Vehicle Accident insurance and Worker Comp insurance (prior to an MCO intervention).
Accepting new patients.
